Our Roots: The Pecos Community Garden
Robin Reindle started the Pecos Community Garden in 2021, inspired by regenerative agriculture and its power to heal soil and help the planet. Robin partnered with Ralph Vigil tocreate a garden focused on gentle soil care, keeping roots alive, growing diverse plants, and working closely with the land.
What began as an idea quickly took root.
The Pecos Community Garden was created from the belief that healthy soil can help heal the environment and support our community.
In 2023, Linda stepped into the role of garden steward. After 30 years of running a local landscape business, she brings deep experience and care to the space. Linda and her husband, Steve, have called the Pecos/Glorieta area home for nearly three decades. She continues her passion for regenerative growing through her own hoophouse and greenhouse, producing flowers and vegetables for the farmers’ market.
The Pecos Community Garden is irrigated by the acequia from the Pecos River and operates cooperatively. Volunteers are the heart of the garden. They get first pick of the harvest, with more produce for sale at the Pecos Farmers Market every Saturday during the growing season.
